It has been awhile since I've last posted. I've missed the leisure time behind my camera lens. I wanted to do a quick post to show you guys a look into the first day of my medical trip to Jamaica. My sister's LA Kaiser program and the SD Kaiser program go on week long international medical trips and this Jamaica trip coincided with my Fall Break. My sister inquired the program coordinator if dentists could come along the trip as well, so they were able to recruit a general dentist and an oral surgeon. I was able to do some restorative work, but mainly did extractions. It was a fun medical trip and mini vacation with my sister. Volunteering on a medical trip with my sister has actually been on my never ending "bucket list."  

Upon the first day of arrival in Jamaica, we got acquainted with the place we were staying at and had a tour of the Falmouth clinic on the second day. We stayed at a villa in Silver Sands resort in Duncans. There were three villas in total where all the volunteers stayed at. There were house keepers at each house that would cook and clean for us everyday. They made a delicious feast for us at one of the villas where we would all gather and eat together every night. Back & Ready for American Food

Oh hey there! I'm back in San Francisco. I cannot wait to go home to Orange County on Wednesday! Here's a glimpse of the first few hours of my trip in Viet Nam. We mainly rested, adjusted, and casually explored downtown Saigon. It's so pretty! I love Viet Nam!! We stayed at Co Thu's (Kelley's aunt) house the first two days and last week. She's so nice!! Co Thu kindly treated me like family making my stay in Viet Nam easier to adjust to away from home. I noticed Viet Nam didn't have that many trash cans on the street while I was roaming around looking for a recycle bin... But the few times I saw trash cans in downtown, they were in the form of the penguin shown above^!


When we landed in SFO last night, I was so excited to see toilet seat covers, toilet papers, and soap in a public setting! Going through various airports you notice how easy it is to just go through customs and check in at other countries and how much stricter it is to get into America. I was a bit bothered by how easy it was to pass security at the airport going to VN. 

I'll try to post pictures up faster and debrief about my trip throughout the next few weeks. You can check out my instagram where pictures are a bit more up to date with people, clinics, beach trip, fruits, and food. But now I have to do laundry and get ready to pack for homeee. Kelley and I are going to grab some boba in a bit--I can't wait, though I miss the nuoc mia, sinh to bo, and ca phe sua da already. I'm going to meet up with my cousins Andyrew and Fleazorz at night :) I wished Christina and Jennie were here and free in SF right now so I could see their cute faces--it's been too long. Once I get home, I have to figure out a schedule to study for my boards, so I don't know how much time I'll be dedicating to editing and posting up pictures.

50 Reasons to Rest

Kelley, I hope you understand the title of this post. Hehe

We are at her aunt's house right now relaxin. It rained pretty hard in the afternoon. We got home cooked food when we arrived and went to downtown Saigon to eat at Pho 24 for dinner (meh, I prefer pho in California). We walked the busy streets and I was a bit scared to cross the street because there seems to be no rules whatsoever on the street. People honk like crazy bumping motor scooters into each other.

We played Disney Uno with her baby cousins. I won 20,000 dong.. Haha. I'll be meeting up with dear Tito tomorrow. Hopefully she can bring Kelley and I to go try some sinh to bo/ cafe. Going to go help Kelley plan out the rest of our trip. Tootooroo. __o

Viet Nam Bound

Hello 16 hours of flight! We got $15 voucher each to go buy food since the plane won't serve.

I'm using a blogger app on my phone so I hope this post turns out ok.
