10-11-12: UCSF Dental Research Day
"Research & Excellence Clinical Day" was on 10-11-12! Isn't that a cool date! My classmates who did the summer research fellowship program presented their research via poster board and/or presentation. There were research presentations from predocs, graduates, and postdocs. Pretty impressive! Dental students of all classes were dismissed from class & clinic to attend UCSF dental's important day. We met in Cole Hall--where many of us received our white coats first year! I don't have much to say, just thought I'd share. The first picture is of the cute and little genius ball, Dr. John S. Greenspan. Dr. Greensan and colleagues made the "discovery of the lesion hairy leukoplakia, its association with EBV, and the significance of this and other oral lesions in the natural history of HIV diseases"! I think that's pretty awesome. After research day, Alexa and I went to Nike's Expotique to pick up our bibs, get freebies, and get our hair did with Paul Mitchell products. Then we ran around the heart of Union Square hunting for treasures. Pretty random, pretty relaxing day.
Bloop,
oli
