I recently realized (in a conversation 5 minutes ago) that I now sort of take it day by day, which is not my usual style. In undergrad I had so many things planned out for the year and even for the years after until the end of senior year. I had an excel sheet that listed out all the potential classes I would take for four years. Now I don't even know how many units I'm supposed to have for electives, what to do to study for boards, what to do to sign up for boards, any deadlines and exams coming up besides the one next week, what specialty I want (fkasjd), and so on. I always feel drained and that achieving the task of the next day and successfully finishing assignments by the end of the week are just quite dandy. I no longer know what week of the term it is anymore, yet in undergrad, I timed/planned everything in increments of 30 mins, hour, and the 10 weeks in the quarter system. This kind of makes the quarter go by really fast now because I don't know where in the calendar I am and also helps keep me more relaxed as I take it day by day in school. Okay enough of the rambling, I should go study or sleep because I just realized I have go set up and attend an event from 7am-5pm--see, there I go not even aware of major events in my life. Okay, I end my ramble here.
One more thing: for those of you who want to attend UCSF's Integrative Medicine Network Forum, let me know and I can give you more information (well besides that it's tomorrow!). You can't take it as an elective anymore, but you can still attend regardless. $8 for students and $15 for the general public. There will be massage therapists, hypnosis specialists, yoga instructors, etc because the theme of the event is "stress" and how to deal with it.
xox,
