I call this week the JOYCE WEEK! Happy birthday (April 11th) to my beautiful and strong minded friend, Joyce, on turning quarter of a century old teeheehee. Earlier in the week we had a potluck for her Chefy (hehe) so that he could taste various cuisines since all he really knows is Italian food and burgers. We brought over Chinese, Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese dishes. After our first cardio exam on Thursday, a group of us met up with my friend I haven't seen since elementary school (!!) and we checked out the grand opening of the speakeasy bar, Local Edition. The drinks were actually okay for me which is rare for me to say. The ambiance was really nice, good amount of music volume, and good music selection at times. If you're interested in going, look for a "691" on a glass door at the location. The picture above of the phone in the water is just to show you guys that there's such thing as a water proof iPhone case--but we couldn't take underwater pictures so I guess there's no point to that!! On Friday we finally got a chance to celebrate Joyce's birthday at Bistro Aix which had delicious food (lamb dish shown above). Then we went out to dance as my feet hurt with every beat I bounced along to.
