Oli's Friday Favorites

These are all random pictures, but when are my posts not random. This previous week was heavy with test cases and a microbiology/pharmacology exam. So we made sure we celebrated the moment we were done. It was fun to go out in a smaller intimate group. My friend made reservation to Bourbon and Branch-a speakeasy bar. We weren't too sure where the bar was because there was no name outside the door. And when we got there we said a password to get in, so that was cool. There were several compartments to the bar and secret doors leading to each area. I don't drink much at all, but I still enjoyed the setting. It looked like a "library" where the book cases were doors to the next room. Pretty cool! Then we went to Cantina and then Slide to dance the night away. So it was really fun and felt eventful, but really tiring since we were sleep deprived. The fourth picture was taken from inside a 4th/5th grade combo class at an elementary school. I am part of a SEP program where I work with a few classmates as a "scientist" and teach the children aspects of science. We are going to teach them the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, and the digestion system while incorporating in dentistry. Last picture are some TCHO chocolate Alexa gave me. She gave me a mini lesson she learned from going to the TCHO factory on how to sniff the scent of the chocolate, snap to hear the quality of the chocolate, and proper way of eating the chocolate to taste the different notes--haha. SO GOOD. Anyway I have many more pictures to come from the weekend since we were finally able to take a break. It was the best feeling to finish a heavy exam week by frolicking about and exploring SF--something I have not been able to do for a long time it seems.

ciao,
oli
