Climb, Crawl, Slip, Smile.

I know this is pretty random, but I enjoyed this hike so much that I wanted to share with you guys about it! Aud, Henrietta, and I hiked at Solstice Canyon in Malibu, CA. The beginning trail was steady ground that was really easy to walk. The weather was sunny, but not sweltering hot. As we walked the trails, we would see ruins--one was a mansion (the picture of us all together above & the bath tub picture). Then we started getting glimpses of the waterfall. The adventure started when we decided  to climb to the top of the waterfall. It started getting pretty steep so we had to crawl and lunge ourselves to the rocks while climbing, hoping to not slip (thanks to H + A for saving me many times--I would totes be booted off if were on the show, Survivor). There were areas where there were just soft & dry dirt. That's when we started slipping, and I started getting worried. We felt so adventurous and healthy! We didn't know how to get back down without slipping down and hitting the rocks & water. So we just kept climbing higher and higher towards the origin of the waterfall. We were able to randomly end up on a trail that led us through shrubs and flowers back to the ground. It was such a nice view at the top! Anyway, you should check it out.

Smiles,
Oli
